The Atlantic Surf Lodge team has been accompanying surfers of all levels for decades
Obviously, surfing is the number 1 activity within our Atlantic Surf Lodge. Whether you’re a beginner or intermediate surfer, taking lessons or just surfing on your own with your own or rental equipment, we do everything we can to make your surfing experience the best it can be.

Big fun, small groups
Our aim is to offer high quality lessons, with an emphasis on the safety and well-being of our students, with a maximum of 8 students per coach .
You can count on our qualified surf instructors, who have the required licenses and bring years of teaching experience as well as private and competition surfing experience.
To learn how to surf, lessons are always given on foam boards (softop type) and include an introduction and a theoretical lesson.

2 formulas are available to you
10h/week , i.e. 5 sessions of 2h at 185€
18h/week , i.e. 9 sessions of 2h for 340€, perfect for improvement.
Once a week, our surf camp organizes a group theory lesson that covers everything from how waves are formed, how they are affected by local elements, understanding the tides, the written and unwritten rules of surfing, amongst other important information.

Confirmed beginner, you have already surfed but you are still practicing in white water waves.
Intermediate :
Paddling to the line up to surf green/uninterrupted waves (when conditions are right)

our head surf coach
ASL : Hey, can you introduce yourself?
Cisco : Hi, my name is Francisco, but everyone knows me as Cisco and I’m your surf coach.
ASL : Where are you from Cisco?
Cisco : I’m from Portugal and started riding the waves 20 years ago. I started with bodyboarding, then competition. It was then that I began to discover the intense sensations of skiing. Then I took up surfing.
ASL : Are you passionate, have you been teaching for a long time?
Cisco : I’ve been teaching surfing and really enjoying it for 10 years now.
Surfing is my passion and I can’t imagine a life where I would live away from the ocean. It is for me a therapy, a connection with the natural elements and a way of life.

Private and intense lessons for all levels:
- 2 hours – €85 for one person
- 2 hours – €160 if two people

Equipment
We have a wide range of rental boards of all sizes and quality: from beginner’s softboards to a range of hardboards, through the Testcenter of Lightboards and high-end shapes from our local shaper partner Surfin Estate .
Our comfortable suits are from the internationally known brand Ocean & Earth and will keep you warm during your sessions.

The Atlantic Surf Lodge is perfectly located for surfers:
Vieux Boucau in the South West of France has quality beach breaks but can also be a good starting point to explore more hidden spots in the north, or in fifteen minutes by car, the world famous breaks of Seignosse and Hossegor.
Uli and his team have been living here for many years and will be happy to give you insider tips on perfect waves, secret spots and will probably accompany you!

SURF COACHING
Our surf camp also offers, in addition to our beginner and intermediate surf lessons, surf coaching.
Individual development allows you to take a step forward in your surfing progression.
With exercises and reflection, you will be able to work on positioning, timing, gliding, maneuvers, and having a better overall surf experience.
SURF INSTRUCTOR
At the Atlantic Surf Lodge, we also have the pleasure of organizing, with the collaboration of Austrian Surfing , the passing of ISA level 1 and 2 , as well as the international equivalent of the BNSSA, ( NARS Life Saving )
Whether you are a practiced swimmer, lifeguard at sea, or a passionate surfer in search of professionalization, we prepare you for the certification tests to unlock your next adventures.
